Pet Industry Joint Advisory Council- (PIJAC) is a trade association representing the entire pet industry on live animal issues.
United States Animal Health Association- (USAHA) works with state and federal governments, universities, veterinarians, livestock producers, national livestock and poultry organizations, research scientists, the extension service and seven foreign countries to control livestock diseases in the United States. USAHA represents all 50 states, 4 foreign countries and 34 allied groups serving health, technical and consumer markets.
World Pet Association- (WPA) The WPA brings the pet world together, so quality interaction and education between and among product suppliers and pet owners can create healthier, happier pets and a healthier, more productive pet industry.
Governmental Agencies:
Animal and Plant Health Inspection Services- (APHIS) provides leadership in ensuring the health and care of animals and plants. The agency improves agricultural productivity and competitiveness and contributes to the national economy and the public health.
Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO)- A basic goal of AAFCO is to provide a mechanism for developing and implementing uniform and equitable laws, regulations, standards and enforcement policies for regulating the manufacture, distribution and sale of animal feeds resulting in safe effective, and useful feeds.
Food and Drug Administration- a federal agency in the Department of Health and Human Services established to regulate the release of new foods and health-related products.
Food Safety and Inspection Service- (FSIS) is the public health agency in the U.S. Department of Agriculture responsible for ensuring that the nation's commercial supply of meat, poultry, and egg products is safe, wholesome, and correctly labeled and packaged.

American Animal Hospital Association- A pet health forum. The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) is the only organization that accredits small animal hospitals throughout the U.S. & Canada.
American Kennel Club- (AKC) The AKC's objective is to advance the study, breeding, exhibiting, running and maintenance of purebred dogs.
American Veterinary Medical Association- (AVMA), established in 1863, is a not-for-profit association representing more than 80,000 veterinarians working in private and corporate practice, government, industry, academia, and uniformed services.
